Showers above 100mm expected - Met Department

COLOMBO (News1st): Thundershowers accompanied by severe lightning are likely to occur at several places in the Island, according to the Met Department. Heavy showers above 100 mm can be expected at some places in Central, NorthCentral, Uva, North-Western, Sabaragamuwa, and Southern provinces. Temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers is expected. General public is requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by lightning activity
