Fisheries Corp employees exposed to COVID-19

COLOMBO(News1st); 06 employees of the Fisheries Corporation have contracted COVID-19 today, bringing the total infected cases from the Fisheries Corporation to 36, State Minister of Fisheries Kanchana Wijesekera said. The group consisted of contacts of the Peliyagoda fish market cluster, the State Minister said. Activities at the Fisheries Corporation have been temporarily suspended, he further added. Meanwhile, a doctor and a nurse at the Lady Ridgeway Children's Hospital have also contracted the virus. Activities at the hospital have not been disrupted and PCR tests were conducted, Hospital Director Dr. G. Wijesuriya stated.
