Colombo (News 1st); The validity period of all types of Visas issued to all foreigners who are currently residing in Sri Lanka has been extended for a period of 60 days to the 05th of December 2020, said the Department of Immigration and Emigration.
According to a statement, the procedure to pay the relevant visa fee and to get the visa endorsed in the passport will be informed at a later date.
Visa holders are requested by the Department of Immigration and Emigration to refrain from visiting the Visa Division of the department.
It added if a foreign national intends to leave the island during the aforementioned period, the journey will be facilitated by paying the relevant visa fee at the airport without any penalty.
