COLOMBO (News1st): Opposition lawmaker Patali Champika Ranawaka has urged the government to roll out a proper work plan to combat COVID-19.
“They (the government) did not take the appropriate steps that would suit the healthcare capacity of our country,” the Samagi Jana Balawegaya parliamentarian said.
He pointed out that rackets took place under the guise of controlling the virus and carrying out quarantine.
“They carried out a racket while offering packages to repatriate Sri Lankans by allowing corrupt companies to engage in these efforts,” Ranawaka claimed.
He also alleged that the law is not being enforced on entities that yield power.
