COLOMBO (News1st): Health authorities have urged the public especially the youth to avoid unnecessary travel and support efforts to combat COVID-19.
“The misconduct of a few individuals is enough to make things worse for us,” Dr. Hemantha Herath, the deputy director general of public health services said.
He pointed out that the situation will go beyond the control of authorities if the required support is not received from the public.
Dr. Herath observed that while youth who may be asymptomatic to the disease, are likely to expose elderly family members to the risk of contracting the virus.
