Colombo (News 1st); If anyone visited the Peliyagoda Fish Market during the past week, such individuals must visit a PHI immediately for tests, said Army Commander Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva who is also the Head of the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).
The announcement came after more than 40 people who were at the Peliyagoda Fish Market tested positive for the coronavirus on Wednesday (21) and the premises were closed down until further notice.
The Army Commander further said more than 800 people were sent to Quarantine Centers.
Over the 14 days more than 118,000 PCR tests were carried out by the Health Ministry, Lieutenant-General Shavendra Silva said.
