Colombo (News 1st): Former UNP MP Navin Dissanayake expects the leader of the United National Party Ranil Wickremesinghe to fill the seat in Parliament allocated for the United National Party.  " My personal opinion is the leader of the party Ranil Wickremesinghe should fill the seat. If not, a person from the list of people we have presented should be named. That is my stance. It will be decided soon", former MP Navin Dissanayake said during a media briefing held today (21). Navin Dissanayake also spoke on the future leadership of the United National Party. "I will state this responsibly, a majority of the people agreed that Karu Jayasuriya should succeed the current leader if he resigns", the Former MP said addressing the media. He also expressed that he is willing to take up the reins of leadership of the party, should he be chosen. "When considering second-tier candidates, my name was also suggested. I am in agreement with that too. I am hopeful. I will not let go of that hope", he said.
