Minuwangoda COVID-19 cluster cases surpass 1600

COLOMBO (News1st): The number of COVID-19 patients in the Minuwangoda cluster has risen to 1608, officials said. This was after 17 people tested positive for the virus on Tuesday. Five were at quarantine centres who were employees of the brandix garment factory in which a worker first tested positive for the virus, or their contacts. The government information department said that 12 were close contacts of the infected patients in the cluster.
