COLOMBO (News1st): The total number of COVID-19 patients in the Minuwangoda cluster rose to 1446 on Tuesday after 49 patients tested positive for the virus.

Thirty-two patients were associates or employees of the Brandix factory in which a worker had first tested positive for COVID-18, the government information department said.

It added that 17 patients were individuals who came into contact with the employees at the factory who had been infected by COVID-19.
