Riyad says calls for his re-arrest are politically motivated

Bathiudeen in the letter said he was released based on a previously issued order by the Magistrate's Court which stated to release him if there was insufficient evidence.

Riyad Bathiudeen recalled four others arrested along with him were released on the same grounds and informed the President that calls for his re-arrest are based on racist and political motives.
