COLOMBO (News 1st): As of Sunday (Oct. 11), a total of 10,224 people are quarantined at 92 quarantine centres run by the Tri-Forces, NOCPCO said. “A total of 50,726 people have left quarantine centres, following the successful completion of the mandatory quarantine period," the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak said through a release issued by the Department of Government Information. It further said, 90 people who completed the quarantine period will leave centres today (Oct. 11). Meanwhile, 44 Sri Lankans who were stranded in Doha, Qatar arrived in the island this morning (Sunday 11), aboard flight QR-668. “Preparations are in place to direct all returning passengers for quarantine at centres run by Tri-Forces following PCR tests at the airport,” the NOCPCO noted. According to the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak, a total of 4754 PCR tests were conducted in the country on Saturday (Oct. 10). As of today (Oct. 11), a total of 325,763 PCR tests were conducted in Sri Lanka, since the outbreak, the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak further noted.
