Special preparations in areas under curfew

All set for Grade 5 scholarship and Advanced Level Examinations

Preparations to conduct the Grade 5 scholarship examination and the Advance Level examination that were delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic are currently in its final stages. The Commissioner General of Examinations said that a special program has been put in place for areas under quarantine Curfew. The grade 5 scholarship examination will be held tomorrow the 11th of October while the A/L exam will begin on Monday the 12th of October. 331,694 candidates will sit for the scholarship examination this year at 2,936 examination centres. Close to 6000 students in the Gampaha District are facing the Grade 5 Scholarship examination, while 7000 students are due to face their advanced level examination in the Gampaha District. 50 examination centres have been set up in the Minuwangoda education zone for the grade 5 scholarship examination while 37 examination centres have been set up in the education zone for the Advanced level examination. The Government information department has said that steps have been taken to separate train compartments for students to travel to their examination centres.
