COLOMBO (News 1st): As of Saturday (Oct. 10), a total of 10,181 people are quarantined at 89 quarantine centres run by the Tri-Forces, NOCPCO said on Saturday (Oct. 10). "A total of 50,364 people have left quarantine centres, following the successful completion of the mandatory quarantine period, the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak said through a release issued by the Department of Government Information. It further said, 465 people who completed the quarantine period will leave centres today (Oct. 10). Meanwhile, another batch of 45 Sri Lankans who were stranded in Doha, Qatar is scheduled to arrive in the island this afternoon (Oct. 10), aboard flight QR-668. "All returning passengers will be directed for quarantine at centres run by Tri-Forces following PCR tests at the airport," the NOCPCO noted. According to the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak, a total of 5333 PCR tests were conducted in the country on Friday (Oct. 09). As of today, a total of 319,146 PCR tests were conducted in Sri Lanka, since the outbreak began, the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak further noted.
