COLOMBO (News 1st): The headquarters of the Department of Immigration & Emigration in Battaramulla and its regional offices, will be closed to the general public from Monday (Oct. 12) till Friday (Oct. 16), the Department of Immigration & Emigration said on Friday (Oct. 09).

The Department noted this was a precautionary measure to prevent crowds from gathering given the COVID-19 situation.

“People are requested to obtain services from the Department of Immigration and Emigration by contacting the relevant Divisions through the following telephone numbers and e-mails during office hours (8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m)”, the Department noted via a communique.
