Colombo (News 1st); A 10-month-old infant at the Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children had tested positive for COVID-19, confirmed Dr. G. Wijesuriya, the Director of the Hospital.

The infant was immediately moved to IDH for treatment and the father of another infant at the Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children had also tested positive for the coronavirus, said the Director of the Hospital.

The infant in question was moved to the Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children from Minuwangoda and upon inspection, by specialists, it was decided to isolate the infant during treatment and thereafter move to IDH, he said.

The Director of the Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children confirmed none of the staff are at risk of contracting the virus.
