COLOMBO (News 1st): The general public is not required to visit Grama-Niladhari offices to complete election revision applications, the National Elections Commission emphasized on Thursday (Oct. 08).
The NEC received complaints regarding certain Grama Niladhari officers requiring people to visit their offices to complete the election revision applications, Saman Sri Ratnayake, the Commissioner-General at the NEC said on Thursday.
The NEC Commissioner-General thereby, emphasized that people were NOT required to do so.
Grama Niladharis were clearly instructed to visit each and every household to fill the revision applications themselves, he further noted.
