Welisara Brandix worker also tests positive for COVID-19; Army Commander

Colombo (News 1st); An apparel worker attached to the Welisara Brandix Factory tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday (07), said Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff & the Commander of the Army.

In addition, a Janitorial Service worker attached to the Bandaranaike International Aiport also tested positive for the coronavirus.

As of 18:00 hours on Wednesday (07), 194 apparel workers to the Minuwangoda Brandix Factory tested positive for the coronavirus.

In total, 1026 apparel workers attached to the Minuwangoda Brandix Factory tested positive for COVID-19.

According to the Epidemiology Unit of the Ministry of Health, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Sri Lanka stands at 4448.
