Support government's efforts to control COVID-19 : Speaker

COLOMBO (News1st): The people must support the government's efforts to bring the latest wave of COVID-19 under control, parliament speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena has said. "...this is a time during which we have to exercise a high level of caution," Abeywardena said after a cluster was identified in the Gampaha district leading to a curfew in three areas. He pointed out that the difficulty in identifying the root cause for the latest wave, is an indication of the seriousness of this matter. "We must all support the government and the steps that it has taken over the matter," the speaker insisted.
