COLOMBO (News 1st): The Ministry of Women and Child Development, Preschools & Primary Education, School Infrastructure & Education Services has decided to call for a report on the infrastructure at schools island-wide.
Measures were taken to forward the relevant documents in this regard to all schools, State Minister Piyal Nishantha said on Saturday (Oct. 03).
According to the State Minister, school principals are required to fill the documents are submit them to the Ministry.
The aim of this initiative is to identify physical shortcomings and provide solutions.
Meanwhile, the Ministry has also decided to conduct a survey in the coming two weeks, regarding the lack of facilities at pre-schools, and documents in this regard will be forwarded to pre-schools soon, State Minister Piyal Nishantha said.
According to State Minister Piyal Nishantha, special attention will be drawn towards strengthening school infrastructure through the Budget for 2021.
Furthermore, the government is also focusing on providing proper training for all pre-school teachers.
