Total COVID-19 cases in island increase to 3160

14 new COVID-19 cases had been confirmed yesterday, the Health Ministry said. The total number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the island has thus increased to 3160. Of the 14 new cases, 7 patients were those who had arrived in the island from the UAE and who had been under quarantine. Meanwhile, 2 people from the Maldives and 5 people from Saudi Arabia, all who had been under quarantine, had tested positive yesterday. According to the Health Ministry, 179 patients in total remain active and continue to receive treatment for the virus. The number of people who have recovered from the virus has increased to 2969.
