COLOMBO (News1st): The people must abide by health guidelines as the coronavirus threat has not ceased, army commander Shavendra Silva warned on Tuesday. "Some people do not wear face masks amidst a growing belief that COVID-19 does not exist in the country anymore," Silva, a lieutenant general, lamented. He said that 51 people have tested positive for the virus in the country since yesterday and that all of them were expatriates who returned to the country. "They were found to be positive for the virus after PCR tests were carried out at the airport," the army commander noted. He stressed that the people must act carefully to prevent the virus from spreading among the community.
