7,576 people in 71 tri-service-managed QCs are still in quarantine.

Colombo (News 1st);  Expatriates continue to arrive in hundreds, announced the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO).

The flight QR 668 from Doha, Qatar with 60 passengers, the flight UL 230 from Kuwait with 216 passengers, the flight UL 218 with one passenger from Doha, Qatar, the flight 226 with 265 passengers from Dubai, the flight 6E 9034 from Chennai with seven passengers and the flight UL 178 from Hyderbad with 178 passengers are expected in Colombo and all of them are expected to be referred to Quarantine Centres, managed by tri-services.

Within the day (01st September), 187 quarantined individuals after PCR tests are set to leave for their homes.

35,142 individuals have been sent back home after quarantining by this morning (01st September).

7,576 persons in 71 tri-service-managed QCs are still in quarantine.

Within yesterday (31st August), 2020 PCR tests were carried out and the total PCR tests conducted so far in the country stands at 226,111.

The total detainees at Kandakadu Treatment and Rehabilitation Centre for Drug addicts stand at 639 of them, 518 individuals are detainees under rehabilitation, 67 staff members, 5 guest staffers, 48 family members and close associates, including 01 person who got in contact with the infected one in the Welikada Prison.
