Colombo (News 1st); Two more Police Officers attached to the Tamil Nadu Crime Branch CID in Coimbatore have tested positive for COVID-19, reported the Times of India. Indian media reports said the CB-CID office was closed for fumigation. Reports said CB-CID rural Police Inspector Sumathir and Head Constable Saravanan, who is the driver for CB-CID DSP O. H. Raju, tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday (17) and they were admitted to the ESI Hospital. A CB-CID team led by O. H. On Saturday (15), a Special Sub-Inspector of Police from the CB-CID tested positive for COVID-19. The Times of India quoted a CB-CID source to report the COVID-19 cases would delay the investigations into the 'Angoda Lokka' case.
