Total COVID-19 cases in Sri Lanka at 2886; Four new cases on Friday

COLOMBO (News 1st): Another four new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in Sri Lanka on Friday (Aug 14), ministry of health said.  "Of the infections confirmed on Friday, three were returnees from the United Arab Emirates and another had returned from Japan," the Department of Government Information said. According to the Department, they were all undergoing quarantine, after returning to Sri Lanka. The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country as of Saturday (Aug 15) stands at 2886, officials figures show. There are 217 active COVID-19 patients receiving treatment, the Ministry of Health said. The total number of recoveries in the country stands at 2658.
