Youth murdered during brawl in Kegalle

COLOMBO (News1st): A youth has been murdered during an altercation between two groups near the Kegalle Hospital on Wednesday night. The victim, 20, who was injured after being attacked by a sharp weapon, had died upon admission to the Kegalle General Hospital. Kegalle Chief Magistrate Chamara Wickramanayake inspected the scene of the incident today. The chief suspect has been handed over to the Kegalle Police. Meanwhile, the remains of a person were discovered on a road in the Magammana area in Minuwangoda on Thursday morning. The deceased has been identified as 59-year old Chandana Deepal Perera. A 68-year old father of two was found dead at the Kegalle main road in Polgahawela on Thursday. His remains lie at the Kegalle hospital. Further investigations are being carried out into these incidents, police said.
