Election related act of violence reported from Kirulapone

It was reported, following an altercation between two groups the wife and relative of a candidate contesting the election were hospitalized.

As News 1st respects the election law during the silent period which is in effect, the candidate and individuals involved will not be revealed.

The incident had taken place at 01:30 AM at an election office located in Kirulapone.

A complaint was filed with the Kirulapone Police and investigations are underway.
