Wariyapola Prison Officer suspected to moving drugs, interdicted

Colombo (News 1st); A prison officer attached to the Wariyapola Prison was interdicted.
Commissioner General of Prisons Thushara Upuldeniya speaking to News1st said information was received alleging the prison officer was serving as a mule to provide drugs to incarcerated individuals.
He said the Wariyapola Police was requested to conduct an investigation into the matter.
