Ginigathhena leopard released into the wild

The leopard that was rescued while trapped in a row of estate houses at the Kenilworth Estate in Ginigathhena was released back into the forest today. The leopard was caught in a trap at the estate. Later, wildlife officials in Nallathanniya took the leopard to the Nallathanniya Wildlife Office for further treatment. The leopard is said to be six years old. Earlier this morning, wildlife officials in the Nallathanniya area released the leopard into the Nallathanniya Samanala Natural Reserve.
