Colombo (News 1st); Sri Lanka Police urged the general public to follow guidelines issued by the health officials in the wake of a possible threat of a second COVID-19 wave.
Deputy Police Chief Ajith Rohana speaking to reporters said the public must continue to maintain social distancing, wear a face mask and refrain from gathering as groups.
Further, he urged those who organize political meetings and events to do so by strictly adhering to the guidelines and regulations issued by the Health Ministry.
DIG Ajith Rohana said there is no decision to impose a lockdown in the country and public support is required to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
