405 suspects arrested over drug smuggling in the Western Province

COLOMBO (News 1st): Sri Lanka Police have arrested 405 suspects connected to drug trafficking during a 24-hour special operation conducted in the Western province, officials said on Wednesday (July 8). According to Police, stocks of 140g of Heroin, 1.191kg of Cannabis and 125g narcotic called ICE were seized during the operation. "The stock of Heroin was discovered from Narahenpita, Sapugaskanda, Panadura-South, Boralesgamuwa and Negombo police jurisdictions," Sri Lanka Police said. The suspects will be produced in court today.
