Fire erupts in Wellawatte

COLOMBO(News 1st): A fire has erupted at a textile store at the W. A. Silva Mawatha in Wellawatte. 5 fire trucks have been deployed to extinguish the fire, the Fire and Rescue Department said, . Another fire truck belonging to the Dehiwala - Mount Lavinia Municipal council has also been deployed to douse the fire. Due to the fire, the lane from Dehiwala to Colombo on the Galle road will be closed from the Ramakrishna junction. Vehicles traveling to Colombo must take the marine drive in order to travel, the Police stated.
