COLOMBO (News1st) : President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has appointed a five-member committee to study matters pertaining to the Colombo Port’s Jaya Container Terminal & East Container Terminal.

Secretary to the Ministry of Ports M.M.P.K. Mayadunne has been appointed as the chairman of the committee.

Other members include;

• Secretary to the Ministry of Industrial Export and Investment Promotion M.P.D.U.K. Mapa Pathirana
• Secretary to the Ministry of Roads and Highways R.W.R. Premasiri
• Secretary to the Ministry of Power and Renewable Energy Wasantha Perera
• Chairman of Sri Lanka Ports Authority General Daya Rathnayake

The committee has been tasked with presenting a report in 45 days.
