162 people self-quarantined over failure to wear face masks

COLOMBO (News 1st): Sri Lanka Police have directed 162 people who failed to wear face masks in public places to self-quarantine. "Another 905 were strictly advised for the failure to wear face masks," Sri Lanka Police said on Wednesday (July 1). They were identified during raids conducted in the Western province, from 6:00 am on Tuesday (June 30) to 5:00 am on Wednesday morning. Furthermore, 402 suspects connected to drug offences were also arrested during the same raid. "Stocks of drugs including over 115 grams of Heroin and 1 kg of Cannabis were seized during the raid," Sri Lanka Police noted.
