President issues guidelines on foreign programmes and to protect the country's cultural values

President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has outlined a set of guidelines that can be followed while telecasting foreign programmes. The President had outlined the guidelines during a meeting that was held to review the progress of the Independent Television Network on Tuesday. During the meeting, President Gotabaya Rajapaksa had stressed the need for media practices that protect the country's indigenous and cultural values. The President had also pointed out the importance of apprising the people on the vision of his manifesto instead of only highlighting it.
