Sri Lanka reported it’s first positive COVID 19 case after two days yesterday. That’s the 1,951st COVID 19 case reported in the island.

A returnee from the Maldives had tested positive for the virus, the Government Information Department announced yesterday.

Sri Lanka reported no new cases over the weekend.

Meanwhile, 28 more patients recovered yesterday raising the total number of COVID-19 recoveries in the island to 1,526.

414 patients remain infected and continue to receive treatment in hospitals, Ministry of Health stated.
