Colombo (News 1st); The Ceylon Electricity Board said the latest Electricity Bill received by consumers, is the correct bill that needs to be settled.
The CEB said the consumers are charged in the latest bill according to the number of units used.
A statement from the Ministry of Power and Energy noted, if a consumer had received a bill higher than what was received in February 2020, the said bill can be settled in installments.
The Chairman of the Ceylon Electricity Board Vijitha Herath was quoted by the Minister Power and Energy Ministry as saying the supply of electricity would not be disconnected even if the latest bill is settled in installments.
