Arrests over curfew violations continue: another 56 arrested

COLOMBO (News 1st): Sri Lanka Police arrested 56 people for curfew violations during the 4-hour quarantine curfew from 12 midnight till 4:00 am on Wednesday (June 16). During this period, 24 vehicles were also seized by Police. Since March 20th till 4:00 am on Wednesday, a total of 71,828 people have been arrested and 20,488 vehicles have been taken into police custody. Police said of the total curfew violators arrested, cases were filed against 29,255 adding 13,219 of them were penalized.
