Colombo (News 1st); The National Transport Commission said it received reports of certain private buses transporting passengers beyond the seating capacity.
The Director-General of the National Transport Commission Commander (Rtd) Nilan Miranda speaking to News 1st said the general public is requested to make complaints on such matters to 1955.
He said complaints would be directed to the Road Passenger Transport Authority of the Western Province.
The Transport Ministry said buses are prohibited from transporting passengers beyond the seating capacity as a result of COVID-19 concerns.
