Final decision on re-opening Universities to be announced tomorrow

COLOMBO (News 1st): The final decision on the re-opening of Universities will be delivered on Saturday (June 13), the University Grants Commission said on Friday. "A meeting was held yesterday, with the participation of all Vice-Chancellors in order to decide on a date for the resumption of activities at Universities and the facts that were presented at the meeting will be re-evaluated today," told Prof. Sampath Amaratunga, Chairman of the UGC, to News 1st on Friday (June 12). The final year examinations of all medical faculties at Universities is scheduled to commence on Monday, the 15th of June.
