30 police officers deployed to quell protests sent for quarantine

COLOMBO (News1st) : 30 Police Officers involved in dispersing protestors from opposite the US Embassy in Colombo earlier this week were directed to the Attidiya Quarantine Facility. On the 09th of June activists from the Frontline Socialists Party protested opposite the US Embassy in Colombo and were wearing face masks nor did they maintain social distancing. Police Spokesperson SP Jaliya Senaratne speaking to News 1st due this reason, health officials had instructed for the police officers involved to be subject to imeediate quarantine.
