More than 300 suspects arrested during special operation

COLOMBO (News1st): More than 300 suspects have been arrested over drug and illicit liquor related offences in the Western Province, police said. During a special operation, 128 suspects had been nabbed with heroin, 55 with cannabis, and 124 with illicit liquor, according to the police. The special operation, carried out on the directives of the Senior DIG of the Western Province T.M.W.D. Tennakoon, had spanned 11 hours ending at 5 am on Sunday.
