Cabinet decides to build a 300 MW power plant in Puttalam

The Cabinet approval has been granted to construct a 300 MW power plant, Minister Bandula Gunawardhena said.
In the press conference, the Minister said that this step was taken to prevent a shortage of electricity in the country.
The cabinet approval has been granted for the Chairman of CEB to reach agreements to construct a 300 MW power plant expeditiously in the Puttalam.
