COLOMBO (News 1st): The public administration ministry has declared a public holiday on June 4, due to the islandwide curfew which will be in effect on that day. Sri Lanka will observe a nationwide curfew on June 4 and 5, as the country will commemorate the Poson Full Moon Poya day - an important holiday in the Buddhist calendar - on June 5. From June 6 onwards, the curfew will be in effect only from 10 pm to 4 am across all districts, the President's Office said. Travelling between districts except for Colombo and Gampaha - which have been identified as high-risk zones for the coronavirus, will be allowed when the curfew is lifted.
