COLOMBO (News 1st): The Sri Lankan Embassy in Abu Dhabi, UAE has been closed for two days (21st & 22nd May).
The Foreign Ministry said the decision was reached after five embassy staff members tested positive for COVID-19.
“Due to an emergency, the embassy is temporarily closed until further notice,” the Sri Lankan Embassy said in a statement this morning.
The statement added that the embassy will not be able to answer any calls right away due to the large volume of calls.
“Embassy encourages sending email as much as possible during the closure,” the statement added.
