Petitions challenging election date to be called up again on Tuesday

Colombo (News 1st); The petitions filed challenging the decision taken to hold the General Election on the 20th of June and intermediary petitions will be called up against at the Supreme Court tomorrow morning.
Seven Fundamental Rights Petitions filed by several individuals challenging the decision taken by the Elections Commission were called up for the first time today to decide whether or not to take them up for consideration.
The petitions were heard before a 5 judge bench headed by Chief Justice - Jayantha Jayasuriya.
