05 Judge Bench appointed to consider petitions challenging election

Colombo (News 1st);  A 05 judge bench led by Chief Justice Jayantha Jayasuriya was appointed to consider, where or not the Fundamental Rights Petitions and Intermediary Petitions filed challenging the decision to hold the Parliamentary Election on 20th June, would be taken up for examination.

The 05 judge bench comprises of Chief Justice Jayantha Jayasuriya and Justices Buwaneka Aluvihare, Sisira De Abrew, Priyantha Jayawardena, and Vijith Malalgoda.

The petitions would be taken up for consideration on the 18th of June.
