Colombo (News 1st); Around 307 Sri Lankans stranded in India are expected to arrive in the island this evening.
Chief of Defence Staff and Army Commander Lt. General Shavendra Silva said a special repatriation flight operated by SriLankan Airlines will be dispatched following multiple requests made to the Government of Sri Lanka by pregnant women stranded in India via social media.
He said Sri Lankans stranded in several other countries would be brought to the country via special repatriation flights next week.
