Public transport to be declared only for essential services for 2 weeks from tomorrow

Director General of Health Services - Doctor Anil Jasinghe has requested the Minister of Passenger Transport Management - Mahinda Amaraweera, to not transport ordinary passengers on public transportation services for another two weeks starting from tomorrow. Thereby trains and SLTB buses will only transport private and public sector employees who will be traveling for essential services. The Minister has thus informed the relevant officials not to use SLTB buses and trains for the transportation of ordinary passengers.
