2000 samples taken from Colombo

2000 samples acquired from congested urban areas under the Colombo Municipal Council to be tested for the Coronavirus

Approximately 2000 samples have been acquired randomly from congested urban areas under the Colombo Municipal Council to be tested for COVID-19. Deputy Director General of Public Health Services at the Health Ministry, Dr. Paba Palihawadana said, no COVID-19 patients were discovered after 2000 tests were conducted. She said, samples were retrieved from congested urban areas in the Modara (Mutwal), Borella, Dinthupitiya, Suduwella, Kotahena, Obeysekarapura and Kolonnawa.
