Heavy rains expected across five provinces tomorrow

COLOMBO (News1st): The meteorological department has predicted that heavy rains could be experienced in five provinces of the country on Tuesday. Showers or thundershowers may occur in the Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa, North-western and Uva provinces and the Galle, Matara and Anuradhapura districts, a weather forecast issued by the department read. These areas could receive at least three inches of rainfall in the evening or night. The forecast added that showers or thundershowers may occur in the coastal areas of the Western and Southern provinces and the districts of Puttalam, Mannar and Jaffna in the morning.
